Who is Johanny Cabrera??

My name is Johanny Cabrera, I am a Venezuelan girl. Since I was very little I have been very creative and innovative, crafts have always been part of my life. With a teacher mom and an Engineer dad.

My dream was to be a graphic designer, but my destiny was different.
I started College in 2009, in Systems Engineering. But seeing my classmates making computerized drawings and using design software made me change my major to mechanical engineering.

Due to the situation that my country is experiencing today, I was not able to finish my College, which is why I always say that I am not an Engineer by degree but I am one by heart.
I arrived in the United States more than 8 years ago with a suitcase full of dreams and many goals to achieve!

Since 2020, I started this idea of doing crafts as a hobby, using my time for something productive.
which made my passion grow more and more, and the idea of turning my hobby into a business was born.

Today I work for a company as a CAD designer and working my business full time!

There are days when it is exhausting but the satisfaction of knowing that there are people who love and value my work makes it meaningful!

Humanitarian aid

I have always had it in my heart to be able to provide my support and attention to those vulnerable people, respecting and enhancing the freedom, values and capabilities of the people assisted.

My work as a volunteer began in 2009 belonging to the Venezuelan Red Cross! Training me to save lives, help the community and be a support and spokesperson for those who need it!

Due to personal situations I could not continue volunteering in my country, but the desire to help has never faded!
Starting from scratch in a different country is a challenge and I know it's hard to help others when you're the one who needs the help.
But Cabany Design has given me the privilege of feeling useful again by helping those who need it.
